The purpose of The McDaniel Report and of this newsletter is to further the application of appropriate scientific methodology and conscientious attention to careful reasoning in the matter of whether there are signs of former intelligent activity on Mars. The author of The McDaniel Report and editor of this newsletter, Professor Stanley V. McDaniel, is an independent evaluator having no affiliation with any organization or individual claiming to have "proof" that there are artificial objects on Mars.
